AHEPA Hellenic History National Tournament
The Hellenic History Tournament is an educational competition for high school aged students who want to learn about 3,500 years of Greek History. The tournament is open to students in grades 8-12.
The teams compete in a friendly Jeopardy-style contest to test their knowledge of ancient and modern Greek history. We are very proud of all who participated and so well represented their communities. AHEPA Hellenic History Tournament

Dear Northeast Hellenic History Tournament Prospective Participants and Sponsor Organizations,
The American Hellenic Education Progressive Association (AHEPA) is a civic organization that conducts various projects for the betterment of those around us (https://ahepa.org). One of those projects is the Hellenic History Tournament (HHT) that seeks to preserve knowledge of Hellenic history. This program is open to middle/high school age students (grades 8 to 12), with teams of three (3) individuals that compete with other teams for monetary awards and team pride. We are in our 17th year since the formation of the HHT. Many of our local high schools know us through the annual scholarships we provide through our AHEPA Senior Living Foundation.
We would like you to consider sending a team to our next competition. The Northeast Region HHT will be held on Saturday November 21, 2026, at St. Barbara’s Greek Orthodox Church Hall in Orange, CT.
